Simple instructions for the basic game:
- The cups are placed in a pyramid shape (typically 6 or 10 cups per side) at the ends of the table.
- The teams stand on opposite sides of the table.
- The players take it in turns to throw the balls into the opposing team's cups.
- If a ball lands in a cup, the opposing team must drink the cup and remove it from the table.
- The game ends when one team has hit all the opposing team's cups
Optional special regulations & variants:
Balls Back / Death Cup / Re-Racks / Skill Shot /Bierpong+
It is best to discuss which ones to use before the game:
Balls Back:
You & your team partner throw. If both members of the team hit a cup, you get the balls straight back and you skip the opposing team's turn.
Death Cup:
The main rules here are the same as in normal Beerpong. However: If a cup is hit and you drink, this is the death cup. If the opposing team hits this ball while you are still drinking, the game is lost. So you should drink everything as quickly as possible. (Only possible if you are using an extra drink cup and the game cups are empty).
Re-racks (reorganization):
If 3-4 cups have been eliminated, the cups may be re-racked. A re-rack may only be requested twice per game. It may only be requested before the next move takes place.
Skill Shot:
May only be used once per game. If a player announces that he will hit a special cup that does not touch any other cups and hits it, the opponents must drink 2 cups. If he does not hit it, he must drink one himself.
