History and Origin
The Blue Lagoon was probably created by Andy MacElhone, the son of the famous bartender Harry MacElhone, in the 1960s or early 1970s at Harry's New York Bar in Paris. The cocktail is popular not only for its striking color, but also for its refreshing taste and is particularly suitable for warm summer days or as a colorful party drink.
