History and Origin
The Moscow Mule was invented in 1941 at the Cock 'N' Bull Bar in Hollywood. Wes Price, the bartender, experimented with Smirnoff vodka and ginger beer and served the drink in a copper mug, giving it a cinematic presentation. The copper mug keeps the drink cold longer and is therefore the traditional serving vessel for this cocktail. Today, the Moscow Mule is a popular cocktail all over the world and a must-have in every cocktail bar.
